Solvang Day Trip (1 Day) – The Danish Village Experience

The tour will begin and end in North Hollywood, where you’ll gather with your group at 7:30am and depart at 8:00am, to embark on a fun and educational day trip to the charming Danish-inspired village of Solvang.
Upon arrival, your group will begin a walking tour of the city with a knowledgeable guide. Explore the Solvang Windmill, a famous landmark, as well as the Hans Christian Andersen Statue and museum. Visit the Main Square featuring picturesque Danish-style houses and stop by the Bethania Lutheran Church, a historic Danish Lutheran church.
Next, enjoy a Danish Pastry Tasting at a local bakery, such as Olsen’s Danish Village Bakery, where you’ll sample traditional treats like Æbleskiver (powdered sugar-covered dough balls) and Kringle (flaky pastries). Afterward, take some free time to shop for souvenirs or snap photos of the picturesque Scandinavian-style streets.

In the afternoon for lunch we will go to a great vineyard for delicious food and Wine Tasting at a local winery, such as Sunstone Winery or Rideau Vineyard, where you’ll sample local California wines (optional based on group preference).
Museum Visit (optional) : Discover the history of Solvang’s Danish settlers at the Elverhøj Museum of History & Art.

After a day filled with culture, food, and entertainment, the group will depart Solvang for the return journey to North Hollywood, with more entertainment provided during the drive.

The tour concludes when you arrive back in North Hollywood, bringing an unforgettable experience of Solvang’s charm, Danish heritage, and beautiful landscapes to a close.
