This exciting 11.5-hour day trip departs from North Hollywood and takes you to two of California’s most unique desert destinations: The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens and Joshua Tree National Park.
The day begins with your departure from North Hollywood, heading to The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens in Palm Desert. Upon arrival, you’ll have two hours to explore this incredible destination. Walk through immersive desert habitats and encounter a variety of desert animals, such as giraffes, cheetahs, and mountain lions. The beautiful botanical gardens showcase a diverse range of desert plants, making for a tranquil and fascinating experience. If you’d like, you can also opt for a Giraffe Feeding Experience (additional fee). Afterward, you’ll regroup and prepare for the journey to Joshua Tree National Park.

In Joshua Tree National Park, you’ll explore some of the park’s most stunning attractions, including:
• Hidden Valley: A scenic loop surrounded by striking rock formations and iconic Joshua trees.
• Keys View: A panoramic viewpoint offering breathtaking views of Coachella Valley.
• Skull Rock: A famous rock formation that resembles a skull.
• Split Rock and Barker Dam (or Arch Rock), where you can capture beautiful desert landscape photos.

The tour concludes with a relaxing return to North Hollywood, bringing an end to an unforgettable day exploring California’s desert wonders.
